AI visibility

AI visibility measures how often answer engines name, recommend, and cite a brand for buyer questions - and who they name instead.

AI visibility is how much a brand shows up in AI-generated answers. It is not one number; it is a set of signals across engines and prompts: whether you were mentioned, where you placed in the answer, which competitors were named, and which pages were cited.

Vendors often compress this into a score. A score is convenient for a dashboard but hard to act on, because it hides the answer that produced it. The auditable version keeps the exact answer text and its sources so a marketer can see what changed and why.

AI visibility is usually tracked per prompt and per engine because answers differ. A brand can be visible on ChatGPT, invisible on Gemini, and cited only on Perplexity for the same question. Aggregating across engines without keeping the underlying answers loses the detail that makes the metric useful.
